What fishing club is good without boats and docks?

My foot kind of aches and each time I get into my garage, the eyes keep going to the tackle and gear corner. The spring clock is ticking fisher friends! Here's what's happening so far this year.

The club received a breath of life over the past 4-5 months. Progress provided us with an improved road last summer, one good enough to get a reasonable SUV up to the front door. We have no idea what this will look like in the spring, but our budget depends on having easy transport, and we will be pro-active with the ZEC to insure the road stays passable.

This, plus a huge contribution from the Moore clan to spruce up no 2; new pump and water pipe at no 1 from J Kleivstul, and new docks were recently acquired thanks to the search and negotiations from Rick and Bob Kelland. All this are moving the club forward. The November blog refers to some other housekeeping work done by three members.

A decision by the executive to change business models, will bode well towards our bottom line. Our treasurer guides us well.

We anticipate a meeting with Real in the upcoming weeks to discuss the storage, cleaning of the docks as well as transport and installation at the club.

As spring approaches we will be providing you with details of work necessary to be completed by us all. This is part of our new model. We hope everyone will be able to get together either in groups or pairs up at the club to exchange laughs and help with a rake, hammer, or chain-saw as opposed to fishing and passing wind all the time. If you are unable to help, perhaps participation in the procurement of a new boat kit?

The need does exist for a new boat kit. The executive does not want to deplete our bank account as we have just laid out money for the docks.

Please send in your dues, if you have not already done so. If you see fit to add an extra amount, please state that it is for a new boat kit. Once we have the necessary funds, we will try to re-create the kit parts so that in the future we may be able to cut costs by making our own boats.  If you feel you would like to participate let myself or the treasurer know.

FYI, the post of secretary has been returned to me on a temporary basis. Be well, and dream tight lines.
The Secretary
