I met the ZEC road guys just coming in with a new culvert
yesterday, and they were heading up Little Green to replace the one below.
The beaver dam is less of
an issue, not sure if they did anything with it, though it was dry yesterday. This was from the 10th May.

Beaver issue |
We
completed the chimney install in Cabin 1, along with the stove. It's quite the view from the peak, let me tell you.
Claude
is going in today to do the final fittings, install some stove cement
around the joint of the Vermont Casting stove and stove pipe, and attach
the stove pipe
sections together as a unit using metal screws. He will put a larger
section of rolled steel protection on the floor. I advise whoever is
using the stove to read the manual or ask how it is used. The club never
had a slow burning stove like this, and it can get very hot. The
chimney pipe needs to have a thermometer on it and the fire burnt at the
right temperature to prevent creosote.
The
docks were installed at Cabin 1, but the 'passerelle' or section going
to land is pretty bad, so be careful. Claude will assess and call me
with some suggestions.
Pierre
Brunet drove up with the two 'french' patio doors for Cabin 3
and we
offloaded and covered them near the boathouse. If someone brings up a old tarp
to cover them up, it might work better than what we put up over them.
The
fishing was tough, but all told we landed 40 trout, some close to 2.75
and 3 lbs. The weekend before was 39, also large fish.

View from the Hydro tower |
The last time I was up to the tower was in 2002, but the road was rough then. It seems like Hydro has made efforts to improve it and we drove all the way up, no problems.
Now back to March 29th....
